Sorry to hear about this, did you snoop around anymore? Did you reuse your stock cam plate? sometimes when its overtorqued they crack and the cam will walk out... I know its a guess but something happend in 20 miles right? that narrows it down a little to something was done wrong or a freak accident happend..

May I ask what your thought process was here? Running an aftermarket head and cam combo without a proper tune is asking for trouble.

You don't suppose that local mechanic was looking for work do you?? Sorry to hear about your problems. Sometimes the budget needs to be stretched so this doesn't happen. Better days ahead!!!

I'm sorry but the tune is not going to cause a mechanical failure like this. Many people run untuned fur a while. I also drive a while on a new build just to make sure everything is okay before waisting someone elses time at a dyno session. Also a motor running with a spark plug wire not on is completely different than a motor trying to run with the valve hanging open from a broken valve spring. The first thing that needs to be done is to pull the plugs and look at them closely for clues of the problem cylinder, and then try to turn the motor. Then the valve covers need to come off and the valve train inspected very closely. Check lifter preload and for loose rocker bolts. Also check all the push rods that none are bent. From there the heads may need to come off. Also before the heads come off you can pull the valley cover and look down in there at what cam lobes you can see and look for damage there too. If lifter preload was wrong it could have beat up a cam lobe or lifter. But in all honesty it sounds like some bent valves since it won't start and hard to turn. Good luck and hope this helps.
