How much taller, precisely, is the truck manifold vs the regular 102?

This is what I plan to emulate with my build: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...onversion.html

I'll contact Mike to see how much hood clearance he has. But it looks promising from the pics. The truck manifold might be the way to go.

I have no idea. I would assume you need another 4-5" of clearance vs the regular FAST.

Martin: Thanks for the info. I definitely plan to use Morel lifters. They have served me well with my 461 Olds. Also, I do not already have a FAST92. I have no LS intake right now.

1998silverbird: Thank you for the info. I am aiming for around 550hp. But more is never a bad thing. If the 102 will make more power without hurting the low end of the power band, then I'll buy a 102.

So I am hearing some in favor of the 92 and others in favor of the 102. Other than the FAST intakes, what are my other options? I want to stick with FI, not carburetor. And it will have to fit under the hood of a Daytona coupe...so it can't be too tall.
Fasts are the best on the market but they are also the most expensive. It will cost you 1200.00 for a brand new fast 92 and 92 TB or 1500.00 for a brand new 102/102/fuel rails. You will more then likely make your goal of 550 or more. I went a much cheaper route and got a Typhoon style intake and I am very pleased with its results. I am making 542hp with that intake setup and I have about 650.00 in intake/102tb/fuel rails. I am also running pretty much stock 243 heads, and a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system.

If you have the money then get the fast setup, if you dont then Typhoon is a option. I made 5-15 hp more then my LS6 intake throughout the powerband.

Okay. Trying to find out if the truck manifold will fit...

That manifold is badass, btw. It's, essentially, a tunnel ram for an LS. Very cool.
