Nope. stock Z06 and cobras lay down between 350 to 370 rwhp from what ive seen. The Z06 is just a much more aerodynamic car as well as itts IRS is years ahead of the Cobras. not to mention the rest of the suspension. Not putting the CObra down or anything cause I love those new ones, GOt a guy in my street that has a tripple black vert. Im hoping to run into him on the road one day!!!!!!

I don't think enough LS1 owners are taking them seriously enough, and end up racing spodes who just traded in thier Hondas, or some FI GT, and all of a sudden think their a Cobra Killer. Sure, the LS1 walks any pre-03 Cobra, but the last couple of years, they've definitely had a leg up on us. Hell, I wish GM would take a clue from Ford, and bring us back a pony car with a forged block and a supercharger off the showroom floor. Granted, if we put as much money into an F-body, as they coughed up at the dealership, the LS1 will prevail...but a lid, exhaust, and a cutout aint gonna get the job done.

Magred2001vette, The 03 Coupes are around 3650lbs w/o driver. I've only been able to race two of them, one was a coupe with CAI making 387 rwhp and the other was bone stock down to the air silencer.

When I was making 366rwhp @ 351 rwtq I was 1-1 with the 03 with a CAI making 387rwhp. We were so close it came down to who got the better jump. I was able to pull a 1/2 car to middle of 4th gear.

When I was cam only on stock heads I pulled the bone stock 03 by 4 cars from 60-130 from a roll. With your setup and weight advantage you should have no trouble except for the pullied ones which usually take a pretty stout HC package to tackle.

I will be racing a friends who just bought an 03 10th anniversary cobra in about 2 weeks. He is a good driver, and might have a CAI by the time we meet up.
The numbers they put down are awesome, but the weight limits them a little is what my friend says.

So..isnt the weight vs hp spread 10hp per 100lbs? (asking here..since im not sure)

For example... two identical cars with 350rwhp, one weighing 500lbs more than the other would run 1/2 second slower and would need ~50rwhp to make up the difference?
I realize that a lot of things need to be acounted for, but is that about right?

I hope you are referring to bone stock cobras. In my club we have about 10 or 15 of them. 3 of them that hangout on a regular basis have chip, exhaust, pulley, cai and on street tires run 11.9 and on nittos are in the 11.6 catagory. 2 of them now have solid rears and with slicks should be going 11.30-11.40 range. An all motor heads/cam fbody with a 6spd on average is about that and the auto's are slightly faster. So, yes you will have problems but it can be done.

I am putting our 447rwhp and have only had the chance to race 2 of them from a 35-110 roll and lost by 1/2 car to each one. they are beasts. Once I get my rear I should beat them at the track but it is gonna be tough. Shot of nos will end there day horribly but to say all motor will beat them even if they spray...ain't gonna happen.
