Default Highest Compression heads with stock 241 PTV?

Anybody have any figures on how far you can mill all the popular heads down and be at stock PTV? IE how much can you mill off a TFS 220, 215, PRC 227, 243, 5.3 heads etc and still have the clearance of a stock 241 and stock GM gasket. Also what the chamber volume would be @ that much milling?

If I go and get a set of heads I wanna get as much comp as I can out of them, and I'd prefer not to flycut.

That is all going to depend on what cam you'll be running, plus other factors like what octane fuel you're going to run. We need more details.

TFS 215/as-cast 220 heads retain stock PtV at 64, AFR is at 65 or 66 depending on the head, PRC aftermarket casting is 60 or 62 IIRC.

All the stock castings retain stock clearance until you mill them down or add bigger valves.

The aftermarket castings all are usually good for a little bit of compression due to the smaller chamber. Plus, they have a larger valve at the same clearance, so, you don't run into the clearance issues quite as fast with them.

The cam I'm running is an EPS 230/234 111+3 LSA 108 ICL and .600/.601 lift

It's currently set up for 93 octane. I'd also like to run a thinner HG for ideal quench. As I understand it tighter quench is preferable over milling the heads for high comp correct?

Your only option is .040 gasket and 5.3 heads or ai hcr welded 241's for the most compression.with that cam you could take the 5.3 heads down to probably 56-57cc without cutting if you run it tight

0.040" gasket would be the first thing I'd do. You can probably run the Ai HCR 219 option reasonably well or get TEA or Ai to do a set of ported 243s with stock valves. Since the cam is installed on a 108 ICL, you don't need to shoot for the 5xcc range. Something around 62-63 is all you need.
