it's not my one bad experience, my uncle is the local engine builder here and you should see the crap he has had to fix because the people there don't know how to install a cam or any other engine mods

Knock sensors won't cause that big of an issue, there has to be something else.

well I was going to get the knock sensors tuned out but my tuner thinks the o2 sensors may be plugged in backwards after the transmission was installed I guess I'll try that next

Have whoever did the trans check your trans pressures. I got a freshly done 700R4 once that acted similar and it was the pump. Or they put a deep pan on it with a short pan filter.

went under to look at my o2 sensors and here is what I found, looks like it could possibly mess things up

if you have an android phone get the torque app for it like 5 bux, then all you need is a bluetooth obd2 adapter.
I use the kiwi brand adapter ill see if i can find the link.

there is cheaper alternatives, but i live by mine and this brand is tried and prooven to be reliable. I would hate to plug in a "knockoff" brand for 25 bux and fry my ECU. just my 2 cents.

Is that for the rear O2 sensors, or the front?

I'm pretty sure it's the front I don't think I have rear ones

No wonder you're car has been heating up. You will have been running insanely lean.

Well, I would fix the wire, and actually plug the O2 sensors in. Might not be a bad idea to get some new ones either. I am very surprised that the car did not throw any codes for that.

I've got the wire fixed back up but it doesn't really seem to have made any difference, I read somewhere the codes need to be cleared before it makes a difference is that true?

and it was the o2 sensor where the exhaust connect to the header is that front or rear? because I only see 1 on each side

yes, need to clear codes. Disconnect both cables off the battery for 30 mins.

You should have 2 O2 WH that are near the front of the Bell housing and 2 more that are along the transmission. If they are plug into the ones next to the tranny your PCM might be getting no/incorrect data.

well I replaced the o2 sensor harness or whatever that thing is called and now my car runs like absolute crap, like it did before I installed y converter with my cam. it cuts off if I don't let it warm up before putting it in gear and when I do get it going it just has nothing at all

+1 vote for everyone to get the torque app and elm 327 obd2 bluetooth adapter.it helped me fix my random misfires.

now your car seems to have gone from bad to worse.did you clear the codes after fixing the o2 sensor harness,is the other side o2 sensor ok?
