I just ordered a new cam from Cam Motion. I got half off because they used a bunch of the names I sent in for their shelf cams back in 2014, so figured I'd cash in. I opted for the 8620 core as well. Here are the specs of the new cam:

Valve Adjustment: .000” .000”
Lobe Lift: .36563” .35075”
Gross Valve Lift 1.70 Ratio: .62157” .59627”

Duration @ .050” Tappet Lift: 232.1* 238.6*

Lobe Separation: 111.5*

Recommended Intake Centerline: 108*

Specs at 108 Degree Intake Centerline:
Valve Timing at Open Close
.050” Tappet Lift: Intake: 9* BTDC 43.1* ABDC
Exhaust: 55.6* BBDC 3* ATDC
Exhaust Centerline: 115

The valve events are much different from the cam currently in the car. Cam Motion feels this cam will be much better all around and carry power to 7,000+ because of the later exhaust valve events. The new cam will be installed this Friday and I'll have new dyno numbers. Kent is going to dyno the car again Wednesday with the current cam and then re-tune/dyno the car Friday once the new cam is in. I'll keep the thread updated with results.

Actually it is the later intake valve close event that will make the power carry further for you. I look forward to seeing your results!

Thanks for correcting me Steven. I will make sure to keep everyone updated. I know this cam will work much better with my setup, especially the heads. I'm really looking forward to showing what these heads can do, and the new cam is going to work great with them.

Car was dyno'd last night with the current setup. With the cooler weather, it put down 431 rwhp and 421 rwtq. Old cam is coming out and new one going in. Will have new dyno numbers Friday evening. Once I have the graph, I'll make sure to get it up.

I'm really hoping for around 450 rwhp. I think that would be damn good considering I still have a bone stock LS6 intake and unported TB.

I thought I saw you mention somewhere that you wondered about the Vengeance black Friday sale. Just saw on instagram that they are offering free porting on FAST manifolds during it

I've been looking at the "Sponsor Sales" section on here daily, but hadn't seen anything yet. That is great news. Going to have to take advantage of that for sure.

448 rwhp and 434 rwtq. After we initially dyno'd the car after cam change (didn't adjust tune), it made less power than with old cam. Took timing out and leaned out the tune, and it put down the 448 rwhp and 434 rwtq. Couldn't be happier. And that is with stock LS6 intake andunported TB. I'll get the graph up in a bit.

Very impressed by not only the gain but the overall power and torque made by the LS6 intake which I also still happen to be running

Here are some pics. It was 443 rwhp, not 448.

I am asking if it peaked @ 6k, its hard to see in the graph. I know the intake is a LS6 with stock TB.

Peaked right before 6,200 rpm's. A Vengeance ported FAST 102 is next on the list.

Nice! I think its begging for a Fast judging by how close the Tq is to the HP. I am going to say 473whp with a ported 102.

That's as high as an LS6 intake will ever peak.
