Default Best heads for application?

I have been gathering parts to do a cam swap in my formula. I have a full bolt-on car with 6 spd, ls7 clutch and 3.73 gear 12 bolt, supporting suspension and 26 inch tall Et Streets. I have a TSP 231/237 cam, ported 90 fast intake, 92 big mouth tb.

I like to take a couple trips to the drag strip per summer but this is mostly a street weekend cruising car. I want to go at least mid/deep 11's and be able to drive on the street anywhere from 10 to 200 miles round trip.

I was originally going to simply leave my 241 heads alone but I am thinking now that I might as well install better heads at the same time especially since these heads won't allow me to reach my goal of deep 11's. I am very experienced with old school performance chevrolet small/big blocks but don't know a whole lot about ls engines. I have been learning a lot since I purchased my firebird last fall by reading the forums. I have been searching for information about aftermarket, modified ls3 and ported 243 heads but the information is a tad bit overwhelming. I like the budget and idea of the modified ls3 heads but then I can't use my current fast intake so I am torn on modifying 243 heads or just taking the plunge into aftermarket.

Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations?

Are you happy with your TSP 5.3 heads? Why or why not?

TEA Stage II LS6 Heads here, couldn't be happier. Very competitive to aftermarket heads. Total Engine Airflow and Advanced Induction do very impressive work on a set of stock castings.

I love mine. Made amazing power with them, would buy again. Just make sure you use sealant on the rocker bolts.

LS3 heads aren't going to work on the stock bore unless its MAST Black Label or Ballistic Speed LS3 heads. But for the cost, there are better options. TEA or Ai.

Just run 5.3 heads and call it a day. You wont be dissapointed.
