Isnt the 6.o the same crank in 5.7 ls1?. I think its the same stroke diffrent bore size makes it a 6 ltr.

6.0 crank is the same as the 5.7 except its not hollow in the center sections. According to valvegod it weighs 1.7 lbs more than the 5.7. Since there is added material to virtually the same crank...it should be a tad stronger and a tad stiffer too. I ran a stock 5.7 crank for 1 1/2 years at the 700+ rwhp level so the 6.0 should easily hold that.

THANKS 383LQ4SS!!!! I knew somebody has tried it! I was talking to a guy at the local speedshop (he works there)and he said he was running a cast crank in his 408 Mustang with a 2 stage 300 hp shot of NO.I have seen his car at the track it runs 5.3 to 5.6 in the 1/8 mile at 125 mph!!Now I have never been a nitrous fan but after seeing it run I have changed my mind!!!! This same car has a hydralic roller cam!Oh yea it weights 3000lbs,I'm still not a Ford fan!

My guess would be ~800 hp, but you should call the GM engineer who designed it and ask him.

Im running a 6.0 crank..... Its nice and solid. What makes our bottom ends so strong is the 6 bolt mains.
