Default Squeak or fart noise when turning over by hand

Call it what you want but sounds like a quick fart by the oil pump region.

Just did:
cam swap.
timing chain
o-ring, was real careful on this so hopefully didnt pinch it

Engine is on a pallet fully assembled and just put in a monster clutch so i was thinking it was the fresh plate/disc but its definitely coming from the front of the engine. Happens real briefly once or twice per revolution.

TIA

Take a stethoscope to the front end and try and pin point where the noise is coming from.

not sure of the clutch but most stock LS clutchs have a weight that moves turning them over by hand. only 1-2 spots per rev as you said, but the oil pump sholdn't make any noise, even 100% dry, its 2 tight fit round shapes on different center lines. So nothing falls, or moves.

whats with no oil pan, on a shipping pallet? did it ship that way? Should be sealed?
or you just set it on there? Whats under it holding it up??maybe the dipsick got bend??? (and got over the windage tray, hitting a rod? Long shot?

do you have all the plugs out? is one in hand tight or something?

is all the valvetrain on and adjusted? or all off? thats matters.

whats timming chain and oil pump? could be the chain rubbing the oil pump, or the back of the cover? But normally ever link, and or pin will hit. But that could not the the case, might be one spot somthing sticks out more?

Yes it was shipping a pallet and ive been working on it there. Leveled with wooden blocks under front of oil pan.
Its had the dipstick pulled for awhile
