It is not just the cam that dictates how a motor behaves. There are limitations. In my case I have no plan to use other than the stock LS6 intake NA. Also my operating range will end at 6200/6300; partly because that is the operating range of a Maggie style SC. So this cam is catered to fit in that rpm range.

Specs are pretty close to Comps Thumper.

Ok, some updates:

I ended up doing more than I planned. Since the motor was out, I figured I'll get the 241s CNCd, stock valves. Along with the cam, I'm pleased with the results.

I'm curious, would you have went with a wider lsa and advanced the cam instead of retarding it, if it had a M6 trans instead of the A4?

No, I would not change the LSA because I wanted the overlap. Part of the project is to optimize scr, dcr etc.. to maximize efficiency for the parameters used. Cam was degreed at 109ICL (actually 109.5), Isky did Ok cutting the cam, it came out slightly bigger at 119.5/131 durations. SCR is 10.5 (63cc) and DCR at 8.5; running 93 octane (actually 98 octane over here). Maximum timing 28*

Chuckle; while reading your original post I remember thinking, "he'll do more it's in his DNA." 28* timing...we'd need to swap to e85 to do that here. It's like "free" HP over there. I dream of 98 Octane unleaded.

Well I have to admit that I am running 1 step colder plug. 98 octane here is like 94 in US. It is just slightly cheaper .
There are areas where I could spend $$ and gain a few horses, but that is not the purpose of that setup. I mainly made use of a bunch of parts I had laying around (except for cam and car LOL).

Interesting. A totally different take than your el toro cam... which do you feel is better on the low end? (Sub 3000 rpm).

What does this cam do that the el toro didn't? Overlap for the awesome sound?

Yes it is another train of thought, different animals. El Toro range cams had sound, just to a trained ear the pulses are different on a El toro. Being a RS cam, it is less exhaust biased and reversion is minimized.
On a stalled 3600 A4, below 3000 is negligible.

Now I'm intrigued. Where do you love that's not Australia, but where you have access to plentiful LS parts?

99% of the parts I get directly from US. My company has an account with Fedex.
