I have read up on the btr lifters vs the ls7 lifter. Ls7 lifters have a problem with (leak down) which causes a ticking sound. Brian lifters are designed to prevent that and also they are forged which probably means they are a lot tougher in the long run.

u should check out the lunati link bar lifters. i think they are made by the same company as morel which someone else mentioned. u can get rid of those plastic trays and they are made to handle more radical cams. also, less bleed down than the stockers or ls7s. i used to get a light valve chatter with the ls7s but with the lunati ones its almost silent.

i went with the 1 step better than stock morel 5315s. not the best, not the worst. good budget option that will handle lobes more aggressive than stock. one of the more time consuming things to replace in our motors, still surprising to me that many people in 2018 still choose to go with $100 ls7 lifters. back in 2010 i would get it, but in todays time, why not spend an extra 1-200 more for a part that is more than capable of taking half your motor with it when it goes. expecially after you possibly just put new heads on that you spent 2000 on......the morel 5315s aren't the best, but from research they are fairly forgiving in the amount of preload they accept and it was my first time measuring rods so wanted something that could compensate if i was off a little.
