Default Milling ls3 heads for lq4

Has anyone milled ls3 heads on an lq4 to get 10:1 and run a .620-630" lift cam?

Lift has little to do with PTV. What is the duration like on that cam and its LSA/ICL?

Considering an lsl lobe...looking for 23x duration and .63x lift on a 112

Maybe 231/239 617/ 624 112

Measure PTV with unmilled heads and make a decision. Yes it is extra work, but that is the correct way.

We have the ability to calculate P2V on custom cam orders. Having said that one thing LS3/L92 heads seem not to like very much is low compression. I would try my hardest to build a LS3/L92 NA motor to be at least 10.7-11.5.

If you need some help on the cam choice please let me know.

I would do a decked 243 setup on that engine personally. Either way let us know if we can help you with the cam choice.

You can't get away with a tight centerline with ls3's unless you're willing to fly cut pistons. My cam is 230's .600" lift on a 108lsa and had to cut .080"

I may just run a ported fast 90 and mill the 317s .035, making about a 65cc chamber and use the tsp 233/239 cam
