Brian spent hours on a flow bench developing the ports on the TEA LS6 heads. They are pretty much the same head since back when he owned the company. I went with the stage 2, bigger valves, and Brians springs.
I have seen AI's work too and it is also very nice, on a set of LT1 heads. You just have to make the decision.

So much of the additional power comes from all of the attention to detail. Don't underestimate the power of a properly port matching a Fast intake to the heads. The intake must be taken apart and bolted to the heads they're being used on to be properly port matched.
I don't have the heads on my website because I don't really have time to do them. Plus I would rather have AI's spring kit business rather than stepping on their toes with porting heads. I've had AI CNC port LS3 castings for me, WCCH CNC port LS7 castings for me and TEA CNC port the LS6 castings.
I don't think you could go wrong with any of the heads mentioned.

Do you have any dyno numbers or anything? What octane gas are you using that is allowing you to run 11.5:1?[/QUOTE]
I don't have any dyno numbers yet, as I'm waiting to get the clutch broke in and then take the car back for WOT tuning. After the tuning is spot on, I'll take have it dyno'd. I'm hoping for around 440 to 450 rwhp with my stock LS6 intake. Phil swears these heads are good for 10 to 15 more hp over the 232cc CNC'd 243 heads. I'm also runing 93 octane.

The other thread started out between AI ported 243's and TEA ported 243's and ended up with this.
AI 232 ported 243's
TEA stage 2 ported 243's
Then thanks to the you guys the following 3 were added.
AI RHS/ Dart 223's
PRC as cast 225's
Brian Tooley / Trick flow 220's.
I really think that any of the above choices would have been a nice addition to my car and probably would have made similar power. After communicating via email with Brian Tooley most of the weekend I sent a deposit to him this morning. Customer service is a huge plus for me and the fact that he was answering emails and taking the time to write in depth responses on Saturday and Sunday means a lot.
So I am getting Trick Flow "as cast" 220's with powdered metal guides installed and 60cc chambers which should get me approx. 11.0:1 compression. Brian is doing some light hand port work on them, installing some of his dual springs, AND he is also going to port my Fast 92 intake manifold. He will also port match match the heads to the manifold. After discussion with him he thinks that the real world gain should be between 40 and 60 hp.
At the same time I will be adding ls7 lifters/ lifter trays, upgraded oem rocker arm's w/ trunion upgrade, oem gm mls head gaskets, and pushrods.
My stock 243's w/ dual springs installed will be up for sale when I get them off the car so all you guys who want dibs better make it known now

You're a smart man, if I was rich I would give a lot of my money to him. If I do anything with my heads it's going to t.e.a. Just because he designed and did the ports on them and they prove time and time again with awesome track times. I sent them an email for pricing on porting without springs so hopefully I'll get one back soon.

As the DR. Said, wise man.
Only how about some BRT SLR lifters? They are listed on Brian's web sight for $199.00
http://www.briantooleyracing.com/chevy-lifters.html
WAY better than LS7 ( stock replacement for all research part #)
Lifters. Might as well I think.

For $199.00 though seems like a smoking good deal and insurance. Not bad mouthing the GM lifter. I just think for the price it's hard to beat BRT Liffters.
Although, I don't have them, nor do I have experience with. But if they are half as good as Brian's other endeavors and customer service......

I have the BRT lifters. Very happy with them. Only have about 750 miles in them but they are very quiet paired up with my 228/234 cam motion stick. No tick or taps of any kind.
