which oil pump is better is there any different kind of oil pump besides the stock one that makes any difference when there is not a supercharger or a turbo on a engine that has just a cam, p/p heads , and boltons. i am rebuilding my engine that has 89k on it and im going ahead and putting a new oil pump for future safety

There are just stock and modified stock oil pumps. I got a ported LS6 pump from TSP and its great. Get's up to a healthy 80 psi at WOT. I don't think there is much of a difference between the ported LS6 pumps. There is the TSP, Katech, SLP, and one other. I just bought the cheapest.
