if I was to use the same TR 224 112LSA cam, would the stage II make a huge difference?

Stage I head has stock valves in it. Stage II has larger, aftermarket valves. I'd spend the small difference and get the Stage II's.. especially if you plan on going to a larger cam in the future.

I believe the claim is 35 to 40 hp over stock heads. I also have the stage 2 heads, but I have not gotten my oil pump problem straight yet. Hopefully, by the end of the week, I can tell you more.

the stage 2's are the only way to go with any cam...i believe the stage 1 heads have stock springs which cant handle any cam other than stock...i doubt you'll get 40hp over stock with a set of their S2 5.7 or 5.3 heads realistically most combos will see 15-30hp over stock heads depending on the size of the cam.

I got 45 rwhp from just changing my stock heads to the PP 5.3's with nothing else done. It's possible if the tune is right.

I have seen a ZO6 lose 11RWHP under 5500 rpms and only gain 7 RWHP over 5500 w/ stg 2 5.3 heads. Another guy I know got 15 peak RWHP from stg 2 ls1 heads. I don't remember how much he lost below peak. Not my idea of best bang for the buck. For half the the dough you can buy a Nitrous kit and make 10x the power.
