Thinking about switching cams
I've got a Torquer V3 right now(haven't installed it yet) that I got off of a trade from a friend. I've been doing some reading around here and from what I'm seeing I don't really like the numbers this cam makes. I was thinking about maybe switching to a MS3 or custom grind with similar performance. I'm planning on doing heads with the cam so I've had my eye on a tsp H/C package.
Thoughts?
In an LS1 F-Body with a FAST 102, you could be in the 430-440rwhp range as well on the same dyno.

Good ported heads milled down (and possibly flycutting the pistons), FAST 102, 4.10 rearend (aftermarket rear like a 12-bolt, 9", or S60 preferred), underdrive pulley, fuel system upgrades, etc.
What are your differential gears? Pick a cam that will work well with those.
I bet you want it to sound mean, for that you do not need big durations you need overlap. If I were you I would look into about 9* overlap or so. Plenty for the street.
After all, is your car going to be driven? Or you just want a high dyno number to talk about and park it?
