Default fast 92 benefit 228r build?

Just like it says. Would a fast 92 intake make a sizeable difference on a 228r and prc 2.5 ls6 build. I know the ls6 is fairly restrictive past 6k and I would really like to spin this to 6500 to help my shift extension with my 3600. I would like to gain 20 rwhp if I step up to a 92.

You won't gain 20rwhp stepping up to the FAST 92 from an LS6. Maybe 12-15rwhp if you're combo is really breathing good. But, you might gain 15-20rwhp under the curve. It helps out everywhere.

The 102 might net you closer to 20rwhp peak and even more under the curve.

Add 5HP to that peak and a little more under the curve. You'd be better off going with the 102. It's a superior intake.

You'll need a really good exhaust and a pretty healthy cam that needs a lot of air uptop to make really noticeable increases. Same can be said for the heads.

Coming from one w/ almost the identical setup, get it ported if you do it. With that cam spin it to 6800. I hit my peak on my EPS 230/230 right @ 6500 with my Unported Fast 92 and LS6 2.5's.

This is also true. These Heads need AIR!!!! A bigger bump stick would benefit you, and if drivability is a concern, get w/ one of the cam gurus here to get you setup. My cam is running 6* of overlap, and drivability is great! Surging and bucking are none existent.

Well I've already got the cam and the heads in boxes at home,I'm just debating on if I wanna shell out the extra cash for an intake and throttle body.

Port it if you get it, so you aren't like me, where you want to port it and have to take it back off, and have your car down while your intake is sent off for porting. Learn from my experience. Even if you go 102, port it, so, WHEN you want a bigger cam, you can be setup for it.

Ask me how I know.

Your power craving will only be tamed for a little while.....

Then, you want more!!!!
