Default Long block questions

Ok guys I'm buying a long block and need some advice/education. I have someone offering me a freshened up and bored lq9 block with ls3 pistons and reconditioned and milled 243 heads with competition valve job with beehive springs. I have the ls6 intake already and most of the stuff off my ls1.he also has A comp cam new oil pump and timing chain ls7 lifters clevite cam rod and main bearing and arp studs. And he's even gonna assemble it for 1500 bucks. What do you guys think all opinions please!

So he bored the block .065" over to fit the LS3 pistons? Why did he do that?

$1500 sounds decent, but if the guy is having to build it, make sure he knows what he's doing. These engines require a little more knowledge than SBCs...

That price seems almost too good to be true, I have a stock ls1 with all brand new gaskets, bolts, bearings, slp oil pump, comp R lifters but with stock heads and stock cam and I would barely let it go for less than that.
If you know an engine builder or someone versed in the LS engines I would recommend taking them with you to look at the build.

Don't know why he bored it he said it is bored to a 376 . Here's the story he had someo heads for sale the 243s I called him and he asked why I needed them I told him someone I know had an lq4 long block for 1300 he said I run a machine shop and build Ls engines all the time. Then said he has a lq9 what he make make into a long block for me with the heads for 1500 I would just need a couple more things to plug it in and go. I'm gonna go check it out and see if I can take someone I know with me. But it's it's legit I'm happier than a pig in **** for get almost everything I need for a 6 liter for 1500 bucks!

Buyer beware dunno bout whole 65 overbore that's a hella large amount. Price is kinda low I mean a comp cam, spring set and pushrods are in the 600-750.00 range by itself.
