Cylinder 3 not working

Default Cylinder 3 not working

Hello,

we have a Problem with a supercharged C5
A&A, 15psi, 705 WHP

After a dyno run cylinder 3 is not working ( manifold cold )

Compression OK , sparkplug and module OK, injector OK,

Reluctor wheel was not good fixed and position 10degree wrong .

But now after adjustment cylinder 3 is still not working,


Any ideas ?

is the plug wet when you pull it ?did you test the plug wire ?is the wiring harness fully plugged in and undamaged ?

Also check the wires going to your coil pack. I had a guy with a camaro have similar problem after dyno and his #7 coil had a wire frayed and was rubbing on metal. Fixed the wire up and afterwards there was no issue.

Did you observe injector spraying...?

Yes, injector and sparkplug is spraying and firing.

We will check now the timing of cylinder 3 in relation with the
reluctor position.

But I can hardly imagine that just 1 cylinder has not the correct timing.

Maybe the ECU has a problem.

If it has spark fuel and compression all about the same time , it has to run. One of those is missing. Try a "noid" light on the injector connector and run it, some ecms have injector driver failure in run mode.

Swap coil from another cylinder and see if that cures it...

pull the valve cover and check the intake rocker arm and springs.maybe that intake valve ain't opening .
