Default Torquer V2 cam. Input wanted

I have an opportunity to pick up a brand new V2 for $200. I was wondering what you guys would think about putting that into my 02 SS A4. Car has BBK longtubes, with SLP catback. And thats it. The nitrous in my sig is not currently on the car.

Is this cam a bad choice for a otherwise stock motor?

If I do go with this cam, what else would I be required to change along with it?

Opinions welcome.

What is the LSA of the 232/234?
Regardless you'll need a TC first or along with it since you're A4.

So I would say Yank SS3600 stall with supporting mods and then cam.

required:
3400+ converter and trans cooler
pushrods
Brian Tooley dual valvesprings
crank pulley bolt
water pump gaskets
tune

good idea while you're in there:
new ls2 timing chain (or timing set)
oil pump
underdrive crank pulley

For as much as a cam changes a vehicle, dont go cheap...call an expert and have them spec something that will fit your EXACT needs.

I am pretty sure my cam is the comp version of that cam. I like it a lot for an off the shelf cam. You would need the supporting mod recommended. However I still believe custom grind is the way to go, because it is tailored to your specific needs.

There is nothing wrong with getting an off the shelf grind, especially if it's a good deal.

There will not be a $230 difference in power between that cam and anything else of similar size...$200 for a brand new cam is an awesome deal. Especially for a nice mid size cam like the TV2
