Default Cam gods help me out

OK so I have been going back and forth on what I wanted to do with my car I finally figured it out and I'm set to it, I'm going to just rebuild the bottom end that I have and and put a 383 rotating assembly in it, it's a 98 ls1 and I currently have the tsp v2 going with the bigger cubes I'm thinking if I should go with a bigger cam I have 243s hand ported just to knock off some of the I'm perfections with the brian tooley springs what do you guys recommend ? I do play on shooting it with a touch of happy gas 150-200 what do you guys think? Rest of mods ↓ in sig

nothing wrong with that cam in a 383, you wont gain much going to a bigger cam with your mods I personally wouldn't spend the money on it

Sure that cam will be fine, but that 383 would definitely benefit from a bigger cam

How much bigger you thinking? Shelf cam or something custom?

Everyone says go custom, but IMO some of the off the shelf grinds are really just as good. That's up to you though. You said in your other thread you have mildly ported 243 heads right? If so, then the M4 you were looking at is pretty good. Something in the low 600 lift, low to mid 240 duration, and maybe a 112 LSA or so would be fun IMO

depends, there is no mention of A4 or M6, stall, clutch etc. If its a auto car you will need a 4000+ stall if you go much bigger, If its a stick car its going to be much harder to idle around in with a bigger cam, and would benefit from more gear as well. Its a good all around street cam with great midrange no reason to change it
