CETA build thread
Over the past couple months I have been rebuilding my car. It had a couple of dead lifters. My original plan was to just pull the heads and put new lifters in along with 243 heads. It had a small stealth/blower cam in it, with no other modifications other than the cam it made 360/340. I was pretty happy since you could not tell it had a cam in it. Here is where I decided to name this "build" before I tore it down I drove it to the shop. On the way the clutch went hard and then soft and then I could only shift after a few seconds of the clutch being depressed. So it was named project "snowball". It goes to the dyno tomorrow. I ended up with this:
243 heads
tick sns stage 3
monster stage 2
18lb flywheel
tick adjustable master and remote bleed
new slave
brian tooley springs
ls7 lifters (silent thank god)
fast 92/92
underdrive pulley
and ditched the bbk longtubes for ARH 1 7/8" and y.
repainted the engine bay
krinkle coated the valve covers too
My favorite thing are the Weld RTS wheels I picked up last weekend, best thing i ever did.
also during this build I needed to be responsible and buy a more reasonable daily: enter chevy cruze eco

lol this is the exact same setup i was thinking of doing for my car minus the slave cylinder and ls6 intake instead of FAST. Post up dyno results and how it drives as im torn between sns stage 2 or stage 3. Looks good man!

thanks, I have put about 700 miles on it. I got a base tune on right away to break the clutch in. numbers will be had on tuesday or wednesday now because the dyno broke.
as far as driveablity goes it has been pretty good, I dont see much time below 1500 rpm while driving around and there has not been any bucking. I will say since i put the drag radials on i have had a much better time with it since i now have some traction. simply put i love it. i can drive it like normal up to 2700 rpms and then there is what i call a "switch" when a whole **** load of magic happens and i go really fast.
