Default too much head for a 346?

hey so ive been debating what to start my car with its an a4 with yank 3600, ls6 intake, pace setter lt ory and a cut out.... but i am planning on getting the tsp 233/239 cam then getting the prc as cast 225 heads which seem similar to the prc ls6 stage 3 heads then i want the fast 92 does that seem like too much? is there too much? and im open to any other different combinations....

thanks for the help!!!

You can never have too much head

No, seriously... You can't.

I have Trick Flow 220's and my car (similar setup to what ur thinking) just kept eating the timing and fuel... That's a good thing.

So long as you can move the air, combust the air, fuel the air, spark the air, and get the air out to start over - you are going to make power. So it is nice to have good heads and not have a problem with air delivery/removal. (normal choke point for a lot of ppl)

I put on ls3 small bores (as cast, just milled) and an ls3 intake and gained 45 rwhp, same dyno, same correction and that was with LS7 manifolds, not headers. I would imagine with headers you will see more gain. They are huge heads for a 5.7, but they worked fine. Very affordable too and an ls3 intake is like a fast already for a fraction of the cost with injectors and rail usually.

There is something to be said about buying new heads vs ported used castings.

OP, you'll be fine with those heads. They were made for the 346.

those heads will be fine. like stated above you can never have to much for heads. heads are the most important objest on your motor to make good power

You will be very happy with that combo. That head flows well and makes good power, without being so big it kills low end velocity.

If the block is stock go with the 62cc and we could even take then down a little. 62cc should put you about 10.8
