Just looks like a crappy job that somebody sandblasted to cover it up and make it smoother.. But hey if it works it works.. You obviously praise the motor and it seems to have put up numbers your happy with then why ask about it... They don't look fancy bet they are better the stock so that's cool..

I would be concerned with rocker stand fatigue and break through. It has happened to many porters in the past. There have also been cases of cracking due to thin walls that lead to big oil consumption. Not sure if these are issues in this case, but it might bear more research.

It would probably work well with a screw type charger. If only a TVS 2.3 would fit. :-)

Me and my brother owned one the fastest stock bottom end ls1's on the planet till this day and plan on bringin another beast back out!

Best e.t. with our mustang @ 3260 race weight:
60ft- 1.25
1/8th- 5.80 @ 118
1/4- 9.50 letting out of it

This is the 5.80 pass

Ok....Just because you can hog out a pair of LS heads and run them down the strip doesn't make them reliable. MOST of the members here look for a pair of heads they can slap on their LS and drive it around on the street and the track for many thousand miles. If your goal is to just get down the strip a few times and not worry about tearing the motor down every season than these are for you. As mentioned, the LS heads are not special, you can't make the ports paper thin and expect them not to have possible issues. Like mentioned, the rocker bolts pass right through the intake ports.

Hey, what ever works for you. Your project does make power, but that's about it. If you have been in the racing game for this long, you know that BBC heads were heavily welded to hog out the ports, because they will crack. I have seen the same issues with LS heads. Would you like to see the threads?

But yes, congrats on making your goal with the less desired 241s.

Hogging a cathedral port doesn't make it a rectangular port. I'd throw em in the trash personally.
