Default question about arp headstuds

So, tonight I was putting my motor together, and I started threading my headstuds down. I don't think I have the right ones, because the go damn near all the way in the block before they start threading. Seems the should be a lot longer. I measured the stud, it's 5 1/8" long. The motor is a 04 5.3L and the stud kit I have is 234-4317. What is going on?

Are all the studs the same length?

Are all the bolt holes the same depth?

If the answer isn't the same for both, then yes you have the wrong studs.

I went through this, my 5.3 block came out of a 04 truck but it still used the 03 and under different length head studs...

I'm thinking I got an earlier 04 engine which was assembled in 03 and they still haven't crossed over to the all same length studs yet..

So, would the studs I have fit on a LS2? It did say 04+ 4.8L 5.3L and 6.0L. Are studs for aluminum and cast iron blocks the same?
