skull and cross bones stamp on 243 heads??

just bought a set of 243 heads off ebay and both heads have a skull and crossed bones stamp on them,anybody recognize this stamping??

nope,just stock 243's off a 5.3..

243s aren't from a L33, 799s are. 243s are from an LS6 or LS2.

that's kinda what I was thinkin,or maybe the company I bought them from stamps them so they know they are theirs in case of a warranty claim..i think im gonna ask..

Do other heads have markings like this? It seems like a good way to identify who manufactured or worked on those heads.

I talked to the vendor I bought the heads from and they said they use that stamping on all their blocks and heads to verify its a piece they sold for warranty reasons..Case closed! lol

Indeed. A good friend of mine owns a completely stock 2012 silverado and his 5.3 has 243 clearly stamped on both heads.

I've seen trucks with one 799 head and one 243 head...
