Basic cam question
LQ9 block bored to 4.005
6.125 eagle rods
4" callies crank
diamond pistons 4.005 with 28 cc dish
absolute speed stage 2 heads (806's) said to flow over 300 cfm
255/263 .623/.623 on a 116 lsa
My plans are to swap the pistons out for some flat tops which should net close to 11 to 1 compression with the current heads.
I have thoughts on porting a set of 706 heads I have laying around but I'm curious to how much the combustion chamber needs opened up for the 4" bore and how much cc's I will loose.
With the 706 heads I believe I would be near 11.7 to 1 or more.
My main question is on the cam.
Is it considered to be a nitrous cam or turbo cam?
Or is it good for either setup?
Nitrous would most likely be in the future.

But truthfully I would probably try to keep it under 7500 just to see it live longer.
I tend to shift when it stops pulling.
I know 11 to 1 isnt high compression.
Thats why I have been thinking about utilizing these 5.3 heads I have and unshroud the valves for the 4" bore and then open up the ports.
Or I can get some domed pistons and keep the heads I have but they are the ugly perimeter style but flow over 300 cfm
