ls2 403 stroker pours oil need some help
I just finished a ls2 403 stroker kit in a stock block lS2 that is in a 2006 Gto, it has eagle rotating assembly and a melling oil pump, factory oil pan and front and rear covers... here is my problem I can start the car with the transmission out and just the flywheel bolted up and within less than 5 seconds there can be almost a quart of oil on the ground coming from the rear cover area. The rear main seal is new and in correctly has a new rear cover gasket also, even if the rear main seal wasn't even in the cover that much oil shouldn't come out...the cover isn't cracked...does anyone have any ideas?

You may not have the cover aligned properly, it there are not on completely straight it will leak. This is now happening to me now when I replaced my clutch and changed the oil pan and rear cover gaskets just not as bad as you are describing
They make a tool that bolts to the block to line it up.

The rear cover is pretty dang centered and the oil galley plug to my knowledge was not taken out by the machine shop and I can see that it is there and its the white plastic oil diverter plug, if it means anything or not I can push on it with my finger and it will move in flush with the block

Make sure the o-ring isn't damaged on the rear galley plug (see pic

Also, make sure the oil pressure switch is installed and tightened.

Did you use the proper alignment tool for the cover install? You can't say it was properly installed if you didn't use the proper tool.
Those seals require perfection or it will leak.
