Or, don't ever build a car you don't intend to keep for a while... and never plan on recouping any of the cash on the mods.

I'd list the car here for more than 6k and see what happens.

Dude, she's a beater. Seriously. Mechanically sound as hell, bit the paint is shot, fist sized dent in the pass rear quarter, removed carpet, and front seats that look like they're 30yrs old...

I guess I could always do the math, part by part, and see where I'd be...

Yeah, that's a problem. Folks pay more for good body and frame than motor - motor is easy to fix. Body work and paint is a pain in the *** to do yourself and costs a fortune to have done elsewhere.

Eh, the hell with it. I threw it on here anyways. We'll see what happens. It's in the vehicle classifieds now.

C6 Z51 brakes aren't really an upgrade... still just a PBR twin piston caliper with a larger rotor... step up to the Z06 brakes!

And go with an A&A Supercharger kit + ARH headers. 600rwhp...

They are an upgrade, just a slight one. Cross drilled rotors, and a wider bracket for more clamping pressure. The Z06 brakes is a HUGE upgrade, but you'll spend $1500+ getting it done.

The ARH's w/ an A&A kit, hooked up with some meth, 600+ for sure. The stock 241's are perfect for it, 10:1 compression, 66cc heads ready to go.

I hear ya, probably. People do sell used Monsters on here. Plus rims/tires. Wiring harness. Fast. Throttle body. Door panels, taillights, all sorts of S if you wanna really tear it apart. Ther are buyers for all that stuff. Somebody might buy the shell for some money. 2000 for shortblock seems pricey to me though. Who knows. Good deal for somebody to buy the whole thing and def easier than ripping it apart and making weekly trips to UPS for 10 months.

Dave, if you have your stock shifter still, throw that back on there and I'll pay you the $180.00 for the MGW shifter/GTO ****. If you don't still have it, I could just send you my stock one. Let me know. I want the MGW/GTO **** bad.

I'd love to take the pads and rotors off of the car, can also send you stock ones. In good shape, meat left but they overheat during windy road "spirited" driving.

Took a deposit on the car a few hours ago... She's all but gone. With me leaving for work tonight, I won't see her again when I come home in 2 weeks.

I'll admit I didn't have a dry eye...

Why haven't we got an update on the vette? You should be home again and driving it if I did my math correctly.

Lmao! You got me, cyber stalker!! Yes, she's home, as am I. Wife got me a set of race ramps and an MGW shifter for our anniversary. Awesome wife!

I got it with the C6 shaft though so I can put a new C6 **** on there. Waiting to install though until the billet lower box comes in.

As for these two pics: moral of the story here is don't back up on to your ramps while you forget your door is open. (Door is perfectly fine)

Well somebody has to stay of top of these things.

That door must have briefly scared the S out of you!! I did something similar on the wifes Golf R, had a senior moment and backed out of our tight *** garage looking right to make sure I was clear of my TransAm, so of course I slammed the driver mirror into the wooden garage door frame. Loud sound, mirror, bent backwards, dug right into the wood. Pulled forward, mirror snapped back, no damage except to the garage. Those Germans are some smart people. I'm German so this makes even more sense.

How are you liking the car so far? Happy with the decision?

Glad I'm not the only one! Lol

Yes, I'm loving it. No regrets at all. All I miss is the "grunt / umph" of the Camaro. This one certainly isn't explosive yet, but she will be. Handles 10x better than the Camaro as well.

C6Z51 sway bars are on the way!
