Taking the jump to a 396
I'd list the car here for more than 6k and see what happens.
I guess I could always do the math, part by part, and see where I'd be...
Headers/Duals- 650?
Fuel pump/HW kit- 200?
MGW- 180
Clutch- ???
Complete Shortblock- 2000?
Transmission- 800-1000?
And all the rest of the misc stuff in my sig...???
Just seems easier in the long run to just let the car go
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
And go with an A&A Supercharger kit + ARH headers. 600rwhp...
The ARH's w/ an A&A kit, hooked up with some meth, 600+ for sure. The stock 241's are perfect for it, 10:1 compression, 66cc heads ready to go.
I'll admit I didn't have a dry eye...
I got it with the C6 shaft though so I can put a new C6 **** on there. Waiting to install though until the billet lower box comes in.
As for these two pics: moral of the story here is don't back up on to your ramps while you forget your door is open. (Door is perfectly fine)
That door must have briefly scared the S out of you!! I did something similar on the wifes Golf R, had a senior moment and backed out of our tight *** garage looking right to make sure I was clear of my TransAm, so of course I slammed the driver mirror into the wooden garage door frame. Loud sound, mirror, bent backwards, dug right into the wood. Pulled forward, mirror snapped back, no damage except to the garage. Those Germans are some smart people. I'm German so this makes even more sense.
How are you liking the car so far? Happy with the decision?
Yes, I'm loving it. No regrets at all. All I miss is the "grunt / umph" of the Camaro. This one certainly isn't explosive yet, but she will be. Handles 10x better than the Camaro as well.
