My machine shop gapped my total seal rings at .021 on the top and .023 for the 2nd ring. This is for a blower application but the NO2 guys aren't much differant.
Also, what are you doing for head gaskets, head studs ? Are you going to line hone the main caps and stud them or go bolts ?
You don't have to clearance the bottom of the cylinders on a LS engine with a 4" stroke.
Can you elaborate on this please.

What rotating assembly are you thinking of going with ?
That's funny, I assembled a 383 ls1 with an eagle rotating assembly. Eagle told me the same thing you are saying. After I got the first piston in and went to turn the engine over I found out otherwise. You're putting out bad info. The bottom of the cylinders had to be notched to clear the rod beams.

I'd bet the house you're gonna max your injectors. Maybe try to sell them now, and grab some 42's and be done with it.
As far as AS on spark plugs, NGK actually came out with a bulletin saying not to run it bc it will weaken the threads.
I still do, but very light, and only the upper half (towards ceramic) of the threads.
