Idk I was thinking because the more air from the 383 it's going to need more fuel but idk ill see with the tuner,,... I'm going over theses instructions for hooking the n2o up doesn't seem hard but the need better instructions

Think I'm going to run the VR1 20w50 for break in for the first 30 miles what you guys think?

ok got a little work done today when I was off work,


cut the trap door for my fuel pump

made my nitrous bracket

and installed my nitrous bottle also ran the nitrous line to the front

connected my fuel solenoids and nitrous solenoid and cleaned the engine bay a bit

As odd as it may sound some engine rebuilders have been recommending you run a rotella t diesel oil for break in. The same additives in the oil which help prevent soot build up in the oil apparently also help the engine break in and the rings seat more effectively.

Don't put anything in the oil. There's a thread here a lot of is were involved in the actually showed adding things took AWAY from the oils ability to protect. Lowered its shear value and all.

Whatever oil you run, run it straight.

Interested to see what yours will put down. I have a sort of similiar setup 383 with cnc trickflow 225s ported fast 92 and a close cam 240-256 with .647 lift on both

Valvoline VR-1 has plenty of ZDDP right out of the bottle, add no more.

OK thanks for the input dr i actully read the thread i though they said add zddp thats why i WAS going to add it but I will run it straight

Yea I got my can spec out by Martin just got to order it some things came up last week so hopefully next Friday I can get mine ordered I'm going with 24x 24x i put the x couldnt remeber exatcly its on here a few pages back

Update: just ordered my cam from Martin @tick went a little bigger then stated above pretty happy with the specs can wait to see how much power it puts down doing to be sending my.tranny off to him in a few weeks can't wait early Christmas present: )

OK so I decided to do my front lower control arm bushings along with new suspension parts all the way around so I went ahead and took K member off I'm going to reinstall motor from bottom I think it's slot easier that way then from the top

next on the list will be my trans rebuild stage 2 and put the car back together ... im taking my heads to get milled Monday already porter should I get diff valves while im at it/?

Ok so thanks to 2 members on here talked me into it .. lets see if its worth it
so I sold my bbk ssi Intake and bout the fast 92/92 setup waaaayyyy bigger inlet and much much larger throttle body im happy HCI2000 and Dr talked me into it I know its really going to breath now... I might be jumping on the Fast bandwagon lol
