Default ls1 to ls3 intake upgrade

what can I use from the ls1 intake, on the ls3 intake? Can I use the injectors, fuel rail and bolts? what else?

I hope you're swapping heads too. You probably can't use the injectors, rails or bolts. You also need to get a MOD to move this to the external engine section. It's not an internal question.

ls3 intake will require a head swap with rectangle intake ports.

Yea I believe they use different injectors and you will need pigtails to adapt your wiring harness..

LS3 intake is not an upgrade for the LS1/6/2. Those are cathedral port heads. LS3 is rectangle port. The LS3 head will not swap over to an LS1 either unless you buy small bore heads from MAST or Ballistic.

Ah you're right. I didn't read it closely. The title just sort of threw me off.

The LS3 injectors are short - 40mm vs the LS1 length of 60mm.

if you change the injector to a higher or lower rating ,you need to retune the ECM .

Just get the ls3 rail and injectors, they are cheap if you look. And as a bonus the ls3's are 42 lb/hr. I got my whole setup, intake and all, for $350 shipped. Everything is a direct bolton if you do it that way except you need the injector pigtail adapters, which FIC sells and are not expensive. You also need to extend the map harness so it reaches the front and you will need to reuse your ls1 map sensor. The hole is much bigger on the ls3 intake, so go to sears and find a grommet that will fit. They have one that fits perfectly. Bring your map sensor to the store and test fit a few and get one that is slightly bigger than the map sensor hole and you are good to go.

Do not reuse the ls3 sensor, you cannot get the tables in the pcm to match correctly.

ok, I was not to clear. I just got some used l92 cylinder heads, that i will have cleaned up and ported over the winter and looking for a ls3 intake and throttlebody, to match up to it. I wanted to know, what could be reused from the ls1 intake. Like 90% of us on here, i am on a budget and don't have a boat load of money to throw at project. The engine is a lq4 block, with a t56 behind it. Running in a 97 camaro. This upgrade is for spring, provide i get everything i need during the winter. Thanks for input and help.
