In case you install it straight up (dot to dot) and do not have a degree wheel. The cam has 4+ degrees of timing advance built into it. (I think)

I will have Allan give you a more detailed explanation but basically you have the advance ground into the cam to get the proper intake centerline that you need to make good power and throttle response.
