That is the best I can describe it. When you play with the throttle under the hood, you can hear what sounds like marbles or a bunch of rocks clanking together. It isn't real loud, but it is noticeable. It stays there and doesn't go away. What do you think it is?

did you ever have the throttle body off? or have the air filter out whilr running the car?, do you have a maf without a screen? Basically what I'm getting at is you may have inadvertently sucked something into the intake that is now bouncing around, you may be hearing check valves, you may be hearing normal valve noise, you may also be hearing lifters.

sounds like a possible bad valve guide, or bent valve. What your hearing is probably the valve hitting the seat. That is the best way i could describe it.
