I think the main thing is to upgrade to a good quality dampener whenever you do heavy mods because the stock and a majority of the cheap dampeners are only tuned for a specific set of parameters. Now as far as fluidamper versus ATI it's is pretty much blondes vs redheads sure the one is easier but the other is more fun, sure she might stab you in your sleep but hey everything is a risk.
As far as engine go nothing is going to last forever and spark ignition engines are lucky to last 500K. Check your budget and decide appropriately whether you want easy or stabbed in your sleep.
Can't stop laughing at that.

Default ATI 25% underdrive

What do you guys think of this one? ATI 25% underdrive pulley. I'm looking for quality damping over underdrive but it is an ATI. Do you think some dampening is sacrificed for the smaller diameter? ATI 918844

For the truck argument, not many of them are modded and road raced. For the others, I would guess that Vette's are the best (and most used) platform for road racing and therefore see the most failures.

To prove the difference someone could do a test. Have 2 identical freshly built engines on a dyno (one with ATI/fluid, and when with ASP/SLP/PB) hold the RPM's between 4300 and 4800, and see which lasts longer.

I see pb, slp, ati have been discussed. But I have a trick flow ud pulley on mine. I dont know if it's 10% or 25%, don't know how to tell either. When I bought my car a little over a year ago it was on it already. Has anyone had any experience with them to know how well they dampen? Never seen anyone else running a trick flow ud pulley

If getting a SLP 25% U/D pulley what belts are needed also? Would I need to order a Serpentine belt & ac belt or just the Serpentine? Thanks..
