Very stout combo. You said that cam is pretty friendly on the street?

Having good discussion about these with Ed. Probably about two weeks out or so from pulling the trigger. Should chime in around 3300 for the pair. That's with hollow intake valves, billet stands (for stock rockers) and upgraded springs with Ti retainers.

Not bad if you think about it.

Price Mamofied AFR's. About on par, heads alone.

Price TFS 215's or the like. A bit cheaper, yes, BUT, don't forget that Fast intake...

I can run these, an LS3 intake, injectors and rails, with a 90mm LS2 TB.

There went my stock injector idea... I'm guessing 60's is what you're going with?

What other fuel upgrades do you have. I doubt you're running e85 on the stock pump.

Something else I'd humbly request as well... What does the dyno sheet look like? I'd love to see the powerband on this.

What RPM are you shifting it at? What are you spinning it to? I see ARP rod bolts so I'm "guessing" 7200+

I doubt he's spinning it that high on that duty cycle. Withe e85, I would think the injectors he has wouldn't work. I was told my Accel 44's wouldn't support e85.

I don't believe he's running e85. He's running 93 or 95.. Or even 98. That's not a US car.

Did I miss something? Did he post he was using e85?

E85 yep

The 47's are rated that at 42psi, I'm running 70psi fuel pressure to try help. I have a boot mounted surge tank with twin walbro pumps and a fuel cooler. Aeromotive 1000hp regulator.

I'll upgrade the injectors when I can afford to but my tuner reckons they are just ok for now.

Having issues shifting early on the 1-2 shift (6100), haven't really had too much time to sus it out properly but spin it 7200-7300 on the 2-3 shift. Standard tacho only goes to 7000.

I don't have a Dyno sheet, only a pic of the Dyno screen. They didn't believe the numbers it made so told me to back it up on the black stuff first. 324rwkw roughly 440rwhp, huge roller torque due to the unlocked converter. Highest h/c ls1 figure on their Dyno yet, even with similar combos with other brand heads with m6 transmissions.

So I'm pretty happy with the mast heads even with the dollars outlaid, I'll just upgrade the bottom end one day

Do you have an aftermarket tach? Or do you just have a shift light set at 7300 rpm's? I envy your combo.

Just standard tacho, and no shift light, just rely on the tune

It sounds amazing north of 7000 revs though.

I wouldn't mind changing the cam to something else if I can make more power, this cam was only a guess being it has ls3 ports with ls1 sized valves.

Also want to shave the heads to get the compression up to 13:1 next year with some fly cuts and see what these heads can really do

Who spec'd out the cam? Seems to be doing really well for you. I hear all these people talk about if the cam specs are not 100% spot on, these square port heads won't make the power they are supposed to.

I'm in the same boat as you. When I switch to a Super Victor/4150 TB setup, I'm going to get a new cam (much bigger), pull the heads off to be milled and do some flycutting and get to 12.5:1 compression. I think that will be safe on 93. Since you are on e85, 13:1 will be good. Hell, you may be able to go higher if you wanted to.

I spec'd the cam myself, thought it would fit with the extra clearance these heads have. LS3's tend to like about 7 deg split but LS1's like a lower lsa.
It's nothing special, lobes straight out of the catelogue lol

How much compression is too much for the standard ls1 bottom end?

Really not sure. I'd feel safe at 13:1 if the tune is spot on and you've got all the fueling stuff in order, which you will have once you get bigger injectors.

If you do go with another cam, I'd have someone spec one out for you. Ed or Martin would be my two top choices.
