what kinda of money you got to spend? sorry but you are going to need push rods, head gaskets, and if you buy used and dont know how to check your valve and lap them then your taking a huge risk. trust me I understand being in collage or you dont have big paying job. Ill work with you. I have everything you need. even just a stock set.. I have flow bench and port these things my self, so its a hobby for me. name your price maybe we can come up with a deal. I take pic of every step of every process and show each valve to show they are still good and lap correctly. its protection for you and me. if not please pass the word around im porting 853 and 241 heads I like them better more material to work with and the heads are a hell of a lot cheaper than 243. plus I get almost the same numbers, so hit me up if this interests you. thanks
p.s I know the comp ratios are different so no need to mention.out

Aren't flow numbers measured in CFM?
OP: difference is one is sand cast (853) and rougher feel where not machined and the 241 is smooth cast. Early 853 heads can not be used w MLS gaskets and later ones can. the difference is the deck surface where the head gasket goes around the perimeter there is a large notch that will not compress the gasket surface. All 241s can be used w MLS gaskets.

I used a set of cnc ported 243 heads from a top name company and measure the volume they held. I didn't want to over port since I have never cut a stock set of 853 up and measured the thickness of each port to water jacket and spring relief. I have been porting for almost tens years in the motor cycle industry and once owned a dyno company so flowing heads means you pay a **** ton of money. Sorry no flow numbers brother. I just want to get some 853 ported for some people at a cheap price, since those heads are everywhere and there like 50-100$. I put in like 6 hrs per head. I have plenty of pics for anyone to see. thanks
