My friend has SS 01 he wants to order head S2 5.3 from summit racing site. It is bont stock only mid-pipe, cat-back and filter.He want to keep his head with him,don't want to exchange it also want to install 224/224 cam .Is there any thing should he change it? Or it is okay only take out the stock head and install the new one and change the cam? Can any one help him to know what is part number for this head from this site and how much it cost? He wants MTI or Patriot 5.3 S2

Tell him to get a notepad and stick it beside the computer, read the new posts and search the old and he will get a very good idea of what he will get with different setups.

well mti and patriot are sponsors to this site so if i were him I'd go to those sites and get the part #'s of the heads then pick a sponsor any sponsor and buy the cam...and yes you can just take off the stock heads & cam and swap them out with nothing else.

Do what everyone else says, research learn and then order.
Tell you what post a new thread that asks who has installed more then one cam because they didn't do research first. You will find it is a huge mistake made daily.
A few months later they aren't making the power they want and buy a new cam.
