could this be a oil sending unit leak??????

Default could this be a oil sending unit leak??????

hey guys I'm having a hard time finding my oil leak..I already changed valve cover gaskets,rear main seal is brand new...had a shop do that for me...the folling picture is just from idle...car starts to leak more after its turn off..did an inspection and oil and to come fromthe top and around the trantransmission..

if it is leaking from on top of the bell housing I would venture to say that the sending unit is the culprit. when you change it get on from the dealer I have seen quite a few aftermarket sending units fail.

yea I can even see wet oil coming down from the fire wall... I'm going to get on that tomorrow and hopeful I can call it a day.. thanks for the quick respond!!

ive had my intake gaskets cause a leak from that area also...

LS engines don't have fluids running through them. So it's not the intake gaskets.

it will have oil in there if you dont have a catch can , im only speaking from experience .

It could definitely leak from valve covers.. Op are you running stock or aftermarket valve covers?

I just changed the valve cover gasket...I also changed the intake gaskets, rear main seal was also changed. this morning I'll be removing the intake and inspect the oil sending unit.. that's pretty much the only thing left.... thanks for all the feedback guys

There is a bung for another sending until just above the oil filter. I placed a oil temp sender there and it leaked similar to what you're seeing on the floor. Turns out, my aluminum crush washer had a deep score in it. new washer, no more leak

I have the car up in stands right now.. just haven't had time to look at it since I've been working long hours.. I'll look into that first thing in the morning... thanks fir the info,..
