No, I have 243s.

I have a Yank SS3600 with the 228R and it's a perfect match. It's a must IMO to do a stall with a cam swap. If you go with the 228R over the 224R, which I think you should, don't install anything less than a 3200 stall. It will be a waste and you'll wish you would've went higher later on.

If I were going to daily drive my car, I'd go with something in that range. Should still be perfectly streetable while having some *****.

Make sure you add an auxiliary oil cooler on the tranny along with a stall.

Idk how a loose or tight stall feels but with my stock 323s it barely moves under it's own power buy once gas is applied it's just fine.

I DD this combo for over a year with no complaints. It'll take you a few days to get used to the stall, but after that you won't notice the difference. I would recommend installing 3.73s when you do the stall. This will help negate the looseness that you will feel with the bigger stall compared to the stock one. This will allow you to use less rpm when driving around town, but you'll still have the higher stall for the track.

If you are looking to buy a new cam, its generally the same price to have a custom one ground for what your specific goals will be. Sure, you can run a shelf grind that has been proven as well.

Will the Texas Speed 228r Cam package also work well with M6 cars or is the power band too high for a daily driver? I have a stock 2000 SS. Those SS true duals sound great! Thanks.

I think you'll be happy with that cam. But remember, Confucius say, "a cam is only as streetable as the tune is good."

Definetly save the cash for a tune. I was doing high 11s with 243s & boltons threw a 6sp and tune, I would have chose bigger after all said and done
