Do these springs fit in the stock size spring pockets? I have a set of Comp 921's I would like to use but they are a bigger OD than stock.

The BTR springs will fit stock style heads.

Placed my order yesterday for the platinum and they shipped within a couple of hours. I was going back and forth on these or the 98118 howards, but I had to replace some patriot extremes .660 for good measure while retaining the ti hardware, and these seemed closer to the specs.

Thanks to Alex at BTR for his time and help.

got mine installed last weekend, looks like I was right in replacing my Patriot Golds because I had 3 smashed valve seals and the springs I removed feel noticeably weaker when compressing them between my palm and the floor

reused my patriot titanium retainers and other parts

Not sure if it was discussed already, but, what Spring Tester did you use? Did you do multiple springs?

Mine is all back together and running great. Valve train noticeably quieter after shimming everything back to correct specs.

I don't know what brand spring tester it was, but it looked to have been used to build thousands of motors. I did one intake and one exhaust. Both from the number one cylinder. My cam is nearly identical on intake and exhaust for what it's worth.

So these are not just rebranded Patriots?

If not, they're being slandered as so on another forum.

I'm running them with 10k, no issues so far.

I got a set of duals and pushrods from Brian Tooley. Excellent customer service and very happy with the product. I highly recommend them!

Definitely not rebranded Patriots.

They're much more like some of the Manley springs or the Comp 26925-16, 26925TI-KIT, etc.

You can PM me the slander and I'll address it. If someone is ignorant about the product that's one thing, to knowingly slander a good product is libel and can be settled in court.

Brian don't worry about comparisons. Your products are the best hands down and not to mention you care about your customers. I have ordered most of my parts from you and will continue too.

Since this thread seems to be completely revolved around BTR springs, can anyone chime in as to if the titanium retainers are "worth" the extra expense? What exactly do they accomplish? I'll be running an H/C/I/E setup this summer, but plan to go FI next and would love to avoid buying parts multiple times!

Any input is much appreciated. There's some good info in here!

Just didn't want to thread crap, you know!

Been doing well man, working 60+ hour weeks, starting up my consulting firm, and in grad school for my MBA. Needless to say my detailing and mechanical hobbies have been on a temporary hiatus. Work is finally starting to wind down a bit, and I've trying to get my damn priorities straight and get the car ready for summer!
