Default Correct pushrod length for 4.8

I bought a 4.8 shortblock. I bought ls7 lifters and I bought stock 243 heads. Does anyone know what the push rod length with me so I can order it right now before the motor comes?

Noone's going to be able to guess from a computer, specially without knowing what sort of cam you have. Headgasket size also makes a difference, which once again we don't know.

Your best bet is to measure on the spot.

That's probably going to require a .025 shorter pushrod at least, if not a little more.

Once again, that's just a rough range. You still need to measure.

What I did was estimate the length I would need, bought 3 different sets with lengths around that and a checker. Measured and picked the best one out of the choices I had, and as it was one of the 3 was the right one. Returned the other 2 sets with no hassle since they were still brand new and sealed in their original packages.
