Default need help on piston choice

lq4 in good shape, using l92 heads and will mill for comp. im going with ls2 rods and trying to decide on pistons,
has anyone used these with the l92 heads? I want good ptv clearance

wiseco dome with reliefs but piston ring is .927 is that a problem?

My guess is that your LS2 rods have a .945 wrist pin. If you want forged pistons, I recommend also upgrading your rods to a forged .927 rod.

yeah but im on a budget and didn't want to buy the pistons even, the reasoning fo them is compression and ptv issues and from what ive found the ls2 rods are strong, and there a quarter of the price

Look into autotec pistons, they make a quality piece that can be used with stock ls2 rods.

ok they have one, 1000589 dosnt say if it hasm and valve reliefs tho.. I guess ill just call them and wiseco tom

They have a -3.3cc valve relief in them. Good luck man!

You gotta give credit to DSS.. they are one of the only aftermarket piston supliers that is selling pistons for stock ls rods and crank with multiple oversize bores and valve relief’s….this is a big step for the ls market. what I really would like to see is a slightly stronger than stock hypereutectic piston with around the same weight as stock with all the different choices DSS has for their new forged ls pistons...and a nice website like DSS has...now call me a troll

for anyone else with this question this is the best ive found, will end up with almost 11-1 with no milling and stock head gaskets and have clearance for more cam then I will ever need, wiesco K0044XS , some info and pics:
