Ebay Crankshaft
Says it's forged and 4.1 stroke. Now I've already done a little research and the ebay'er is Procomp. Now I know a lot have had success with the Procomp headstuds but a lot are upset about the heads they made. Has anyone dealt with or know anything about these cranks? Heck of a knock off in price at 459.99.
But as Billy Mayes use to say. "BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!"
They also offer a cast steel "non-forged" crank in the same 4.1 stroke for 159.99.
Now I did a little more looking into this and found a company named Sag Performance that claim they use these cranks "Chinese Knockoff" as they call them all the time over a 3 year period and have only had one break and it was a 600hp + 4400lb Cady Cts-v with 500 hrs run time. "so they claim". They're selling these cranks for 650 and say they come in 4' 4.1' and 4.125'.
They also claim that these cranks are the same as Eagle just copied by a Chinese company.
So again does anyone know anything about these? Or know anyone who's run them?
They are Chinese 4340 forgings, but machined and QC'd here in the states (like Compstar). Folks seem to like them and their quality. Available in 4.000" and 4.100" stroke configurations at that price.
