Porting tfs 205s

I agree, the bigger runners would give more growing room. But my next build with be with a different block, and a lot bigger Ci. So I'm getting the most out of this build, and when I'm ready I'll put this set up in another car, and my z06 will get a big motor with way better heads.

The heads are already CNC ported, so if you pay to have someone hand port them further, will the Little HP gain be worth the cost, which I would say will be pretty hefty?

I want the runners opened up, and hopefully it will be enough, but I'm willing to gamble to find out. After seeing how well my brothers car works, and a friend of mines car with ai ported 243s work. I'm willing to find out how much of a gain having the bigger runners and more compression is worth. Frankenstein racing said they'd open the runners to 225cc's.
My brothers car and my friends car are pretty much dead even. Hoping my car will out run both of them.

Chris uses a TFS casting for his heads... Same head he sells he runs on his LS6 CTSV that makes 511rwhp. This is with a (I believe) 235/240 cam...
While his heads are CNC'd, he also hand finishes everything, which is why they also come with a 3100 price tag.
I seriously doubt you'll find a better cathedral port head available for a 346.
If you're going to run Frankenstein heads, it's better to just buy the castings straight from him, as they're prob cheaper in the long run.

Keep us updated Lowmiles. I'm curious to see what Frankenstein will charge you. Are you going to have him CNC the heads, or just hand port them? I'd say your car will outrun both.

Chris Frank is awesome.
Also, I've talked to Greg Good about opening up my 243s when I go to a 400+ cid motor down the line...
Though at that point, the LS7 head begins to look very nice if I go 4.125" bore or more.

I actually just got off the phone with Chris frank, he told me $1200 for hand porting and 1600 for cnc porting. Not sure which I'll do. Going to decide while my trans is getting rebuilt over the next couple weeks. "Think 4th gear shift fork is bent" but I'll know soon.

All while leaving the combustion chambers the way they are, so you'll still have that high speed velocity and excellent piston to valve clearance. Sounds like a winning combo to me. If you've got the coin to make it happen, then I say go for it. I'm itching to see pictures of these heads if you do go this route.
