Need Lifter Suggestions For Vindicator Cam
I'm looking at either: comp 850, Brian Tooley SLRs, or maybe Morel 5206. Am I missing any other good options?

Morels reputation has been outstanding over the years and if you ask the majority of in the know people that are in the lsx community youll probably hear that name first when you put the words best and lifters in the same sentence.
Not taking anything away from Brian Tooley or PAC. Theyre lifters have just not been around long enough for it to be sunk in everyones minds theyre #1 yet. Refer to my first sentence in this post.... and I consider PAC springs to be the best, not having tried BTRs yet. So all three would probably be great choices. Id stay away from GM lifters altogether...
With that being said, I had a chance to visit Vengeance Racing in September '13 and had actually asked Ron about BTRs as I was getting rid of LS7s. He said he hadnt used/seen them in action yet, but that in most of his street builds he used Morel 5290s. Even LS7 engines which turn 7000rpm stock. Things change over time and sponsors swap preferred vendors over time for too many possible reasons to be able to write down. If it were me Id call them and ask their opinion and probably BTR also. Both Ron and Brian are great to talk to. Good luck and if you can spend extra 100-200 greens then forget ls7s
My paycheck comes from GM & surely wouldn't use an LS7 or Caddy lifter, anyone that would tell you to use them is a fool.
Right now I have 3 sets of Morels, I need 1 more set of lifters & I will probably get another set, don't but the cheap Morels.
I personally wouldn't use the BTRs but everything I've seen so far says they're good so its hard to argue against them & especially for the price.
No wrong, most lifter failures are actually not the lifter themselves. It's a wild valvetrain that was put together by a novice Inexperienced hot rodder that probably did no research or "followed" someone else's build without measuring PR length, preload, wipe pattern, improper torque sequence, etc...
I ran LS7 lifters and never had an issue. Then again I measured and shimmed everything I need to, which goes back to the novice statement made earlier.
I'd NEVER order PR's with a cam at the same time. You've got to measure.

I spent quite a long time inspecting, cleaning, and testing the axles and link bars on all my lifters before install. I also put assembly lube on the body, the axle, and in the cup where the pushrod meets to avoid friction related damage on first start up.
