Hey I have 98 TA plan on going with the above mentioned cam, ls6 intake as well... I already have true dual exhaust to help it breath. Anyways my question is what's the min recommended stall for this cam? This car will be my DD and I don't want to lose too much drivability as my drive to work has quite a few stop signs before I get on the freeway. I have 342s as well if that makes a difference...Thanks

The min would be a 3600...but if your like me you'll want a 4000.
That cam is similar to mine...I have no drivability issues, but that really comes down to the tuning.
I personally think Martin@Tick is the man to talk to. He has a great selection of off the shelf cams to choose from. The sns line was his new line last spring and I jumped all over it.
Not small by any means...but not too big for the streets. Choppy loop with the duals..love it.

Yeah from what i've researched when picking a stall, everyone recommended 4000 stall even for DD, and everyone with 3600 or 3800 had wished they went with 4000, i went with Yank PT4000.. my vote is 4000 on youtube someone has a video of driving around with 4K

My car is a daily driver that never sees track time. I had a 3200 stall than stepped up to a 4000 and it drove the same. Trust me, I was skeptical going that big. It drove just as good.

Stall converters drive funny to me....it seems like the transmission is slipping the whole time. To me, I wouldnt daily drive a stalled car...especially a 4000 stall. I understand the necessity behind a stall converter when installing a larger than stock cam...just not a 4000 rpm stall and expect to daily it.

Converters have come a long way over the years. Once locked, they drive like stock and it doesn't take the same amount of rpm to get the car rolling as it used to. In the old days, a 4k stall meant you were revving it to 3500 before it even moved. That is not the case anymore.

I have that cam and run a Yank 4000 SS and 3.89 gears . Once you get use to the converter it is no big deal. My wife also runs a 4000 SS and 3.73 gears and she has no problems with it. You will gain ALOT more with that converter than you will with any cam.

Yea once you get used to the stall, there will be times where you forget you even have an aftermarket stall. For me, the first week I drove the car after installing my 3600, I hated it. I thought I ruined the entire car. Then I figured out how to drive it without looking like a complete jackass and started finding where the sweet spots of the stall were. It was all love from there. I wish it was the first mod I ever did to the car. The only complaint I have with a stall in a DD would be getting on the highway can be a real PITA. If the traffic is light then its no big deal. But if its heavy traffic, I have to just about go WOT so I can get up to speed with the traffic and then you have the people that don't wanna let you on the highway, etc.

They damm near drive stock, just needs a few extra rpms to get moving, which I don't mind because the high revs compliments my duals.
I would hate to not drive a stalled auto. Once locked it drives like stock. Neck snapping performance at wot comparably to stock.
To many pros vs cons here.

The first day I had the stall, I picked up the car at 5pm. I was just supposed to drive the 80 miles home following the person who drove me up there. Didn't get home till 4am. Ended up driving 300 miles in one night I liked it so much.
