Got my lightly used FTP 104 lid from another member here.

I am also thinking about a flex plate and was considering a steel one by PRW since it is a really good price and looks like a quality piece and is SFI certified. Thoughts?

For head gaskets what size would you guys suggest for the 4.03 cylinder bore? I was thinking 4.085 but would that be too big?

I think those would work, but can you go smaller?

I haven't been able to find MLS gaskets smaller in the .040" thickness.

I run a PRW flexplate, it looks to be the same as the Hughes brand. I'm happy with it so far.

IMO a 4.085" bore gasket is fine.

I loved my 325's I had on my old CCW's. 335's even better, and if you could get them to fit, 345's for the win.

I would have went with 345s but I got the two used for $100 cheaper than one new tire and they are like new from a buddy. I couldn't pass the deal up.

Well I got my block loaded up and taken to the machine shop near me to ensure everything was up to spec prior to taking it to Tick Performance.

It was of course, in fact they said the machine work was outstanding. This was a block from Summit.

I also Test fitted the 335s. This was without any clearancing. They fit but it is extremely close. I am going to beat the fenders in to give for some additional room. Also yes I know I need to clean my garage.

Nice to see an update. I'm glad your block checked out good. It seems it's been kind of hit and miss with the Summit blocks. Glad yours was good.

I have been looking at this stainless steel 14 gallon fuel tank that retains the stock sensors bolts up in the stock location and fills using the stock fill neck. I was wondering if anyone has used one and if it would be worth it for my build?

I would keep the stock tank and go with a Squash in tank dual fuel pump set-up.

Twin Walboro 267's(compatible with ethanol) and move 450 lph a piece. Plenty of fuel for corn.

If you planned on spraying nitrous you could probably wire one of the pumps to run all the time. Then have the second pump wired up to your nitrous arming toggle switch where it only ran when you needed it on nitrous. That way both pumps aren't running all the time and possibly heating up your fuel causing vapor lock.

Or you could wire up the second pump to a WOT switch that activated your nitrous and that way the second pump would only come on when the nitrous came on. Instead of coming on via the toggle switch before the nitrous actually started to spray, it would only come on when the nitrous was actually spraying.

Alright I won't waste my money on that then. I do not plan on running nitrous I have a single walbro 450 (or 267 as you called it I have heard it both ways)right now. I was led to believe that would be enough for my set up. Would that not be? Also is the squash dual pump for 98s too? Since it seems a lot of the pump setups are different for the 98s.
