I'm going with clogged catalytic converters on this one.

I was leaning there as well. Does the car sound like jet engine from the outside?

Did you ever check the fuel pressure at the rail? His pump could be in its way out. If y'all have identical cars, maybe try swapping mafs/coils/TBs/PCM, one at a time and see if you can eliminate any of those things.

Ok just swapped coils. If anything, the car is even slower. So lets just say nothing changed.

When you first step on it the car sounds like it is missing until it gets up in rpms.

Check fuel pressure, coils could be weak and take valve covers off and check rockers and springs. DO you have any tuning software?

Alright, fuel pressure test is next on the check list. As for coils, i have swapped the coils with my cars, which is running just fine, and it made no difference.

Funny you mentioned tuning. Just asked on the tuning forum if there is a way to de-tune or restore to factory settings on the Tech2. No one has replied yet. Reason i ask is cz im starting to think the first owner might have tuned the car. The 2nd owner then replaced the motor. And now the 3rd owner has a car that is tuned for another engine. Love to know if there is that option on the Tech 2.

Heard you loud and clear the first and second time buddy. And i replied to you. As much as i would love it to be just a simple throttle-not-fully-opening issue...saying its a throttle issue over and over isn't miraculously going to make it so.

I told you why i don't think its due to the throttle not opening fully. If my reasoning is flawed...then plz do EXPLAIN why you think so...instead of just saying the same thing repeatedly.

I think he keeps asking if the PCM recognizes that the throttle blade is opening fully, ie, verifying that the TPS is at 100% when the throttle pedal is to the floor and then to verify that the blade is actually open at 100%.

You can still achieve redline with a throttle that is say, 75% open.

You'll need a scanner to verify the TPS is at 100%.

It sounds like the car needs to have a log of a couple of runs to see how things are acting.

Good Luck.

I don't know anything about the tech 2 but can you monitor everything with it?( I would sure hope so) I am sure the tech 2 can reset your tune since some people have went to the dealer with a tune and the dealer upgraded the pcm and they lost there tune.

I have hptuners and you can just about monitor everything to find the problem.
