Probably. Nothing is ever quite straight forward with aftermarket parts as you know. But, because it is designed to fit the LS1 and is a precision made piece... I would think it's okay as long as the teeth on the sproket are "stock" spaced. That's really what you'd have to be concerned with, but most chains look to be the same basic dimensions.
SD will let you know if the chains would be interchangeable. And I think getting upgraded timing gears is a good idea with any chain.

Yeah I spent the money on the c5r chain, so that would be a deal breaker obviously.
I'm only interested in the set for the t-bearing.
Very attractive price.

I believe you will be better off with the Cloyes. My SD7140 / JP5618T was off by between 6 and 7 degrees, and I believe the reason was because it was machined wrong. The Cloyes 9-3153A which I exchanged the SD7140 for was off by between .5 and 1 degree. The $105 shipped is a good deal, I think I paid $115+ shipping. Either way, still happy with the Cloyes.

SDParts website is $115 shipped, but it was $10 cheaper from their ebay store.
